Coturnix Quail Feed

Food should be available at all times and placed in the housed area rather than the run so it does not get wet, if food gets wet it will soon turn sour, the birds will not like that. Adult quail need 1.25cm - 2.5 cm of feeder space per bird. Ample feed should be present, but if the trough is too full, excessive wastage will occur.

Water should be kept in the run of the enclosure, it should be completly replaced with fresh after a couple of days, never let it run out, i often use a shallow ice cream container or similar for this. If you want to buy a purpose made one there are some examples below.
