- | Food should be available at all times and placed in the housed area rather than the run so it does not get wet, if food gets wet it will soon turn sour, the birds will not like that. Adult quail need 1.25cm - 2.5 cm of feeder space per bird. Ample feed should be present, but if the trough is too full, excessive wastage will occur.
An analysys of appropriate feed can be found by using the link to the left of this page. If the birds are in an aviary they may pick up spilt seed as well .
